The Details
Wick fragments are an unavoidable byproduct of frame-based candlemaking. After candles are clipped from the frame, small pieces of wick fall away during the frame de-waxing step and settle at the bottom of the kettle, where they are difficult to remove and can clog the ball valve.
The DigiMash Filter Insert solves this problem by creating a raised stainless steel mesh layer inside the kettle. Liquid passes through freely while wick debris is captured above the bottom, keeping the kettle cleaner and protecting the valve from buildup.
This insert is used during the frame de-waxing stage, before frames are re-strung for the next production cycle. More efficient workflows use a dedicated de-waxing kettle with hot water rather than wax, which the DigiMash supports equally well.
For candlemakers using frames at scale, the DigiMash turns a messy maintenance step into a controlled and repeatable part of production.

Gear Tip > Use the right cutters for the right application
Candle finishing involves two different cuts, and each requires a different tool.
For cutting the candle base from the frame, use pruning snips. They provide clean, controlled cuts through thicker wax without crushing the candle.
For trimming wicks at the top, use thread snips. They cut with precision and will not tear or fray your wick ends.
These tools are not interchangeable. Using the right cutter for the right application improves consistency and makes your candle finishing faster and more predictable.
